6 Day Ayurvedic Fall Cleanse
We begin September 19th
All lessons are recorded so this detox can be adjusted for a time that works for your personal schedule
Fall is the perfect time for a mind-body reset.
We are transitioning from the busy summer months into the colder darker months of winter. Fall is a time of transition. In nature the leaves lose their leaves and release that which is no longer needed, so it may be used as compost to fertilize the soil for growth and rebirth in nature's new year, in the spring. We can follow and take this time to slow down and observe habits and behaviors that no longer serve us so we may grow into better, healthier, younger versions of ourselves.
First Live Intro Call is on Monday September 16th at 6pm MST. Call will be recorded if you are unable to attend live.

Often, summer can leave us feeling depleted from busy long days filled with adventure, and overindulgence. During the end of summer we may feel ready to change with the seasons. The shorter days encourage us to slow down, turn inwards, and do a little reflecting. It may also be a time when we want to do a little fall cleaning whether it's our house or our diet, changing out the clothes in our closet, try a new diet to shed some weight before the holidays, or just want to feeling lighter, rested and refreshed.
Fall is the time of harvest, and it's important to begin changing up the type of foods we eat so that we can keep our microbiome (gut bugs) healthy so that our immune system can be strong throughout the winter. 75% of our immune system resides in our gut so paying attention to what we are nourishing our bodies with is valuable to our health.
Ayurveda recommends a seasonal cleanse where we take pause in our hectic lives to eliminate whatever physical and emotional toxicities we have accumulated over the prior months, to allow our mind-body to return to a natural state of balance and health.
Traditional cleanses of juicing or consuming green juice for several days can be depleting to the system, especially if the mind-body is under change or stress, and doing so can create imbalances. An Ayurvedic Cleanse is a gentle detox which guides you to reboot and reset your diet and lifestyle all while becoming aware of habits and behaviors that no longer serve you.
How it works...
Prep Phase
In this phase you'll discover how the strength of your digestion is key to a successful cleanse, how toxins can show up in your body-mind, and how to sync your daily schedule with nature, what to expect, what to eat, and what to avoid. You'll also begin to drink more fluids and lightening up your diet by focusing on warm simple foods and avoiding:
- Meat, including fish (eggs are okay)
- Dairy
- Caffeine
- Alcohol
- Sugar
- Processed, packaged, or manufactured foods
Detox Phase
In this phase we will focus on a specific type of clean eating, called a mono-diet. During this portion of the detox we will be eating Kitchari for all meals. Kitchari has been called "India's chicken noodle soup", because it's very nourishing to the mind-body, includes all the essential macronutrients, and it's very easy to digest. It is a porridge like food prepared with basmati rice, split mung dahl beans, ghee, and spices, and is delicious.
Eating a mono-diet allows us to focus on our behaviors and habits around the act of eating and shines a light onto areas that may need healing. We are able to more clearly see emotional triggers that cause us to distract ourselves with food or other vices.
You will also have an option to do a castor oil detox flush on the last day of this phase. Step-by-step instructions on how to perform this Ayurvedic toxin removal is explained in detail.
This is also a time when we will also be detoxing from external things like the news, work (if possible), social media, mindlessly scrolling the phone, etc. We will introduce self care activities in it's place like self-massage, journaling, self-reflection, mediation, breath work, baths, yoga, and relaxation to help the body's natural detoxification process.
(Because kitchari is neither low calorie or low in macronutrients, it can safely be consumed by individuals with a variety of medical conditions. However, if you are on insulin, it's best to reach out to your primary care physician to devise a plan that is safe for you.)
Incorporation Phase
This phase is similar to the Prep Phase of this detox, continuing with clean eating and hydration. Because it is nearing the end of the detox you may be tempted to begin introducing different foods, however it's important to start slowly, and honor the body as it may be sensitive to adding these items back in all at once. In this phase you will continue implementing the self-care tools you found beneficial, as well as the practices to keep your digestive fire burning brightly. You will finish the program feeling a lightness in mind, body, and spirit, ready to welcome the new season with confidence feeling lighter in all areas of your life. as well as knowing what foods to introduce to continue feeling lighter and more vibrant.
